As I type this,I've got a thickening Fog rolling in on the Bay. I've finally made it to Camp,and I'm a privileged man for it. I think I'll celebrate by doing a "Baconfest" that includes BLT's using Texas Toast..!!
Ol' Freetown Fred's been scowering all of the NEPA back road garage sales he could find for additional Genuine Woolrich Socks in order to bulk up inventory for the times ahead. Between that and his coffee grindin' ways,We should have You covered for da' times ahead..!!

Good choice for breakfast, HB....thank you!! We have a light rain day here, so, we rest and drink coffee at Freddy's Coffee House! Yard work will wait 'til another day. Nascar has the 'All-star' race on a short track........should be a little bit interesting, maybe. Stay healthy guys/gals.

Good morning everyone. I rolled in from Montreal at 9 pm, and was planning to sleep in. Our smoke detectors decided to go off early in the morning and wake up everyone in the house. No explanation for why they went off…frustrating for sure. Wondering if it was related to running on generator power for a few hours on Thursday evening? I will blow the smoke detectors out with canned air and see how it goes.
Yesterday I had a friend wash our house. 1000 gallons of water straight from the lake, 10 gallons per minute with a great detergent. I can’t believe how nice it looks. That soft water from the make doesn’t even leave a spot on the windows.
Today the family and I are headed to Montreal. The boys have two hockey games, and we will see a bunch of friends up there.
EFM is still running…20 lbs per day for HOt water and a dry cellar.

Bacon and Texas Toast, now thats a great meal!
Yesterday I walked about 100 yards thru some medium length grass to go fishing and pulled at least 20 deer ticks off myself. Im sure I got them all but its hard to sleep when I kept thinking I feel them crawling on me, lol No skeeters here yet but I know they are arriving soon.
A nice warm sunny day today. I have to go pick up some online auction winnings in Iowa and then maybe screw around in the yard today. Have a good one!

We have lotta ticks......I use a spray on my work clothes and footwear......the name is SAWYER.......active ingredient is 'permethrin'.....works real good. I think I bought at Home Depot.

Can’t ever go wrong with Bacon! Good morning guys. Grass cutting on the list after it dries up some. Got everything in the garden except for corn and green beans get them planted tomorrow or Monday. Need to get the pumps in the coy pond too, I better get in gear! Hope everyone has a smooth weekend!

Yep, thats the best stuff Ive found too. That company makes some real useful things for outdoor people. Thanks for mentioning the product as some here may not have heard of it. I usually wear rubber boots in that spot but didnt have them along. I was surprised how thick they were and wont do that again!
As a side note I have thin cotton long sleeve shirts with buttons just in case its hot out, and I keep them sprayed with that stuff and as long as I wear it I have never been bitten by a skeeter. Thats over many years. it sure beats DEET.
Back to my bacon sandwiches....

Coffee and a blueberry muffin on the way to the station. Chipping away at the house very slowly. Hopefully siding and windows later this summer/early fall. Got the driveway straightened out and cleaned up much of the yard. Still burning a little wood at night in the TLC 2000. Have a nice day!

Good evening people and how was everyones day? I hope there is some bacon left as it damn near goes with everything.
Did you get up early or haven’t you been to sleep yet HB? Just another busy weekend at home fixing stuff and yard work, I took down the last big apple tree ( sad but it was not doing well) at least the fall cleanup will be somewhat easier without picking up apples twice a week.
Sawyer is great stuff D-Frost we always have it on hand in the camper plus we spray the dog with Flea halt in addition to her monthly Frontline Plus, ticks just plan old suck.
