That Son some of you don't like to hear about, competed in a 10K race last week.

He came in first. Second place was over a minute behind him. He runs a Marathon next Sunday in MA.

Oh yea he competed in a Marathon in late March. He was 3rd place at the 22 mile mark and 4th place was 5 minutes behind him. He ended up not finishing due to cramped legs and not being able to remain standing. He came in 7 out of 136 in the half marathon that day.

You have every right to brag and be proud CH.

I like when one of our kids turns out to accomplish more then i have and at a younger age than i did.

And just when i thought that could not easily be done. My oldest son has done that. Still love then all equally but each are very different in ambition and attitude and also in accomplishment. But each has their specialty. My youngest son is not the builder i am but a heck of a better guitar player than i was at 17 yrs old. He just won a talent contest at school with it.

Not really. I was always off with older siblings waterskiing, swimming, or doing chores at home or working for neighbors. Also had a morning and afternoon paper route. I went to a small Catholic Grammar school. I never devoted myself to any sports. I was always tinkering with things. Had a mini bike and then bought a dirt bike. I was out of school and the house by 15.

Similar for me. Not interested in sports either, seemed like a lot of effort and expense for nothing in return other than fitness which i could get working on construction. Also had a paper route at 12. And working on the railroad at 15 out of the house at 17 after high school.
