From Motor Trend:

"Even if the grid were entirely fueled by coal, 31% less energy would be needed to charge EVs than to fuel gasoline cars.

Except renewables are not working out as the EV pushers said they would. And because of the renewable fairy tales those "archaic non starters " are still going strong.

I would think that running better more efficient utility generation plants would be wiser than installing windmill or solar farms all over the landscape.

Generation always requires fuel... So no gain...

Got to get rid of the burning to be able to save...

Can never be 100% efficient...

Solar energy suppliers able to sell electric at 4 cents

with a good profit....

Fossil cost is double with zero profit... 99% are losing

money...

Who wants to sit waiting for their car to charge? Not everyone can charge at home. "sorry i'm late for work, there was a line at the charging station." I can fill my gas tank and be back on the road in under 5 minutes.

It would not surprise me in the least if the EV chargers started becoming required for new single family home construction in certain states' building codes.

Some employers will opt to put in charging stations.

In NY new construction they're making you run the power, but not install a charger. Supposedly based on number of garage spaces.

I doubt that.

AI going to fix the problem. Employees won't be necessary.

The charger is in the car. All that is required is an outlet to plug into of adiquate amperage and voltage. 400 amp services will become the norm for new construction, maybe more with large houses.

My boss has built 2 homes in the last 2 years. Whatever the code is is not fully understood by the codes officers and varies between municipalities. The first one had a 2 car garage and they made him run a dedicated circuit to each bay. Only 20A. The second place, they allowed one 20A circuit to be run with one outlet in each bay. Doesn't make sense to me.
