Could this be the end ... They have no products that people want...

300 to 600 days of supply is crazy... Better sell at a big lose ...

I think there are similar problems across the industry. Supply was cranked up to fill the Covid void and now interest rates have dampened demand.

Remember EV's will take 20% plus of sales in 2024...

These are lost sales for legacy car co's ....

In China 40% will be EV's and there's no going back...

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/china-ev-growth-se ... 00597.html

China is by far the largest car market in the world...26.5 million cars in 2023...

"China is dominant in the global EV sector, accounting for 69% of all new EV sales in December, and continued growth is on the cards. Last year saw a 37% annual growth in sales, with approximately 9 million new EVs sold and a market share of 34%."

With what their building and expecting us to buy , not to mention the price.

I may have to go to Cuba for my next car.

I don't want a three cylinder with a rubber band transmission.

I like the new shop rates. Ask/check around to see the different rates being charged to work on ICE, hybrid and EV

What did they expect? they discontinued the Charger and the Challenger and the V8 engines.
No one wants that Dodge hornet! It's a reskinned Alpha Romeo. Italian cars are garbage!
they have no economy cars or low priced crossovers. The base hornet is $31,590
Dodge has two 2024 models and Chrysler has one. Ram dies not have a mid sized or a compact truck.

Ford and GM aren't much better. Both of them are using 3 cylinder engines. The ford has a wet timing belt Gm is back to using timing belts too. Standard engine on the full size GM trucks is a 4 cylinder.

Drove past a Toyota dealer today and they had very few new cars on the lot. The dodge/ram dealer and the chevy dealer lots were overflowing!

Boss has 2 year old diesel. Engine light. Bad glow plug. Dealership says the warranty on the glow plugs has been extended to 150000 miles. Head mechanic says he only works on vehicles less than 5 years old.

Many videos of mechanics telling you of which vehicles to stay away from.....Jeep. As to the 3 cyl, our newer Ford Escape has the 3 cyl turbo and runs good, no problems. Maybe some drone at certain rpms but has decent torque and pulls better than our 4cyl turbo and better gas mileage also. 8 speed auto. I will never by a CVT, read up on Nissan garbage.

Same here. The 2020 Escape 3 cyl EcoBoost we had since new, had plenty of power when you need it. No noise problems, and easily got 33 mpg cruising at 70-75 mph highway.

In 2022 we traded it for a 2020 Edge because we needed more room. That also has a small EcoBoost engine with plenty of power, good milage, and no noise problems. Both have the 8 speed auto that is so quite that it's not easy to tell when it shifts if you try to count how many speed changes it's going through.

Keep the oil clean!!
I just finished up replacing a seized vacuum pump on an Ecoboost in a Lincoln MKC. The button on the camshaft that drives the pump broke, my friend got lucky I was able to drill it out. the screen on the vacuum pump oil inlet was clogged with debris and so were the vvt solenoids. I replaced those too and gave it a full tune up and a motor flush with some cheap oil and engine flush. the oil came out black filled it up with mobil 1 and a new filter. Told him to change his oil more often, he was following the owners manual.

We may see more US legacy auto bankruptcy ...

They are so far behind it is pitiful...

Look at GM they can't even build a decent EV...

Fossil fuel is so expensive that it will be replaced...

Even 3 miles per Kwhr at $0.12 is a bargain in an EV...

Fossil at $4.00 gallon and 30 mpg is non competitive ...
