I have posted this before but new members may have not seen it...

It cover the D G Littlefield patent of 1869 and some of its additions...

This is the base burner patent which uses bottom combustion...

I believe this is the best design for burning coal with a natural draft in a home environment...

They are good looking and work rather well also.
