Chimney draft

First time on the forum. My question or issue is that I can not get a draft reading with a nanometer I have a keystroker koker with a chimney and barometric regulator Purchase a new nanometer with no luck. Have had no issues with this till now. Only thing I have done is replaced the rain cap. Any suggestion

What model manometer do you have and where do you have the probe inserted? Pictures would definitely help us diagnose it...

Have you checked the chimney and connector pipes for obstructions? I'm assuming you are clearing the connector pipes of fly ash as required. It's a good habit to use a mirror to check the chimney for obstructions when the connector pipes are off.

The other side should be open to atmosphere. Many add a couple of inches of tubing to let it hang and avoid dust.

How much fluid did you add, can you see it in the meter part?

It must be level and zeroed with both tubes just in the atmosphere.

Many (most?) reverse the tubing from the instructions so the larger portion of the display shows draft, albeit positive when we know it is the same value but negative. Otherwise you only have a very small portion to read.

Just so you know, for your stoker stove, you need to insert the manometer probe into the stove to read the over fire draft. Per the manual, it's to be set between -.02 and -.03 during a long run. There is a hole in your door frame to take the draft reading. The draft in the stovepipe is not really relevant for a stoker unless there are issues. Stovepipe draft will likely be between -.04 and -.06 during that same long run but the key is to set over fire draft per above.

As for your lack of draft, Richard hit on some key points. Was the stove and stovepipe cleaned out after last season? Was the chimney checked for obstructions
or internal damage (holes) when you replaced the cap?

Yes nanometer set up as it should level and proper fluid

Double check that the other tube not in the stove is open to atmosphere. It works by comparison. If both tubes are hooked up with same draft- say one was in chimney and one in the stove door- it would read zero

You can also blow gently across your tubing (pull out of furnace or pipe) and you should see the level moving. Just be careful not to overflow or pull fluid out
