It was supposed to start last July, but was delayed until July '23 due to lack of availability. As far as I know it only applies to heating oil. https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2021/S3321

Interesting.. so just order off road diesel for the house instead of heating fuel lol

Hand Fed Coal Stove: Gibralter MCC
Coal Size/Type: Buck in the Allen and anything goes in the MCC, Anthracite
Other Heating: None, maybe some wood in the MCC in the shoulder season

That's odd my family farm normally gets no.2 heating oil because it's normally cheaper then off road fuel

Are "they" not selling ultra low sulpher diesel as no.2 heating oil down by you? thats the only difference i could see that would effect the price, here in NY no.2 heating oil and off road diesel are both ultra low sulfer, they are the same thing just dyed for non tax purposes.
