That was one horrific day for those people and for all Americans. I don’t even like to think about what those folks went through, but we must keep their memory alive.

In July 2001 I flew into Logan airport. I refused to take the return flight out of Logan due to the total lack of security that I saw. Recall, law abiding people would not take arms onto a plane and are defenseless to criminals.

I called the government and told them of Logan. They apparently did not care. What airport had planes hijacked from? Logan. My co-worker who drove back with me was not happy in July but was in Sept.

What happened on 9/11 was not a surprise but an expected result.

Prior to 9/11, cooperation with hi-jackers was the rule. Now its the opposite. That change is all that was needed. Instead we got the "Patriot Act". In Dec. 2001 I traveled with a young kid and TSA wanted to look down the kid's pants...I did not let them, being a good parent, complained, has a Air Force police interaction and chewed him out for even being at an airport, and boarded the plane w/o my kid's 4th amendment rights from being violated.

Welcome to America. Where the gov't is happy to have thousands die to increase its authority over citizens.

And Mayor Daley asked for air coverage for Chicago .. the feds told him to drop dead. Why? We know why.

9/11 and the gov't using it as an excuse to void our rights ... still today. Pfft.

Airport security is still a joke, but then again it had nothing to do with 911

Many forget, and the rest weren’t around to experience it at all. About 25% of the population was born after 2001, and I doubt the schools spend more than 2 minutes discussing the attack.

Or discussing the prior attack to bring down the Towers months before. Not using planes.

Rob, I'd think if my kids were in that age group, I'd damn sure tell them about it. My youngest was around 8-9 & we surely

discussed it at home. Didn't know or care what the schools were doin--Hmmmmm, back to parenting. Just sad as I stated.

I’ll never forget. I was stationed with a training squadron in mcas miramar and i was on the stenis teaching rookie pilots to land on aircraft carrier. Went from rookies flying with blue dummy training ordinance to the instructors flying with live ordinance (real damn quick)over LA and San Francisco for 2 weeks till the squadrons that where going on cruise could fly out n replace us.

With that I’ll leave with a moment of reflection for the ones no longer with us and also the ones that lost loved ones. And a toast n big THANK YOU to the ones that signed a blank check payable upto n including life. 🫡🫡

Well I am going to have to eat my words about the school. Last night I asked my boys what they learned in school and they said their entire morning was about 9/11. They started with a moment of silence and then learned all about what happened. I quizzed them and was pretty impressed with what they had learned.

I remember exactly where I was sitting when we heard the news.

And what did the education system tell them ?
