Greetings,Coal Pilgrims..!! Enough Of Playin' Hookie,Let's Drink The Last Of August's Coffee..!!

Now that We're ready to roll into Fall,We'll kiss August's Keyster "Adios" and turn Our attention to being able to cook some real "Smash-N-Grab" Breakfasts without sweating to death doing it..!! Our Galley Crew is thrilled about Our recent Air Conditioning System install, but it pales compared to real cool outside air drawn in by Our Overhead Fan System..!!
Let's eat, drink Coffee and be merry..!! We'll "jump the gun" and bring in September's Cheesecake a week early..! ! Yep,We're starting with desert..!! Moving forward from that,We're plowing right into Waffles,Bacon,Snausage and/or Maple Ham..!!
Ol' Freetown Fred has hit yet another "New Low" in Our Coffee Production. Since Our Coffee Grinder blew up last weekend,FF's been using a 2lb hammer on the beans... You'd have to see it to believe it..!! Spank It And Crank It,Gang..!! We're Heading Into Fall And Coal Burnin'

Glad to see you back HB! I'll have some of each!

It was a hot week, upper 90s one day and over 90 4 days in a row but now its nice. grass is dried up and the seeds on thistles even dried up before turning to seed, something Ive never seen before. Last night I was walking around the woods and there was a large owl (I think a Barred Owl but not sure) that just didnt want to leave for some reason and just watched me so I went and got my camera. Later at sunset I was sitting outside and he landed in a pine tree near me. Strange but neat. Anyway heres a couple pics and have a good weekend!

I'll grab that last piece of early cheesecake, HB. Thanks! FF's hammer smash coffee is old and cold but very good.

Great shots of the owl, Warm! I am not a bird expert at all, but I think that may be a Northern Saw-Whet owl. Or not.

Another one of those days, where I have so many neglected things to start on that I just blew it all off. I did get a lawn mow in yesterday. We're still officially in a drought zone.

Thanks! A quick search tells me the Saw-Whet is a real small owl. This one was fairly large. In 26 years living here its just the 2nd time I got pics of an owl here as they usually fly away as soon as they see me getting close.

Looks like a barred owl to me. We've had many of those around the house here for years. I have their feathers stuck in things all around the house and barn.

Ahh, my favorite! Smashed coffee! Thanks, Fred, and nice work! :D

Nice Crown, Don! Last decent cars ever built. We're still driving our '86 Grand Marquis. Over 300k miles on her now! Original driveline - engine has NEVER been open except to replace the timing chain (Was going in for an oil leak, so might as well at 230k), and we're still running the ORIGINAL in-tank electric fuel pump! Try that on anything built the past 25 years. Anything rubber or plastic has seen better days, though. Body mounts are smoked - starting to have some noise, and door alignment issues. Those don't seem to be made anymore, so not sure what I'm going to do there. Going to have to do a custom install more than likely.

Coming to the end of my "vacation". Been working my ass off on the W250, getting it to where I need it to be for what I do. Fuel fill and aux tank are done. Been working on wiring up 4 gauges for the past 3 days. Taking MUCH longer than planned! Most of it because I can't seem to put one tool down without it disappearing into another dimension. So aggravating! But, I'm gaining on it.

Almost out of time here. Tomorrow I get to start drinking Colon Blow in preparation for a colonoscopy. That's going to severely cut into my work time. Still have axle seals to do, W/D hitch readjustment for the new truck's 11" taller stance, wiring up 6 existing LEDs, installing a momentary switch for the running lights (like the big boys run), rewiring the back half of my trailer, then I've got to do a brake job on our 940, and find out what's going on with a noise in the right front. The friggin roads around here DESTROY everything. It just never ends! Not going to have time to finish everything on this vacation.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend. I've got to get back at it, or this thing will NEVER get out of the shop.

*deleted pic of barred owl taken with a 10p quality camera ... Can't tell if it's an owl or a pigeon.*

Good Monday morning soon to be lunch, Thanks HB:up: its still good on day two.

Been camping where we don’t have cell service which for me is fine, got the daughter back to school for year #2 of college without a hitch, the house will be quiet for a spell again.

I see I slept through the 3.9 magnitude earthquake we had last night 🤔, the epicenter was supposedly 4 miles from our house, never felt a thing although I have never felt any prior either.

Had some time at work to play on the phone to break up the monotony, bored out of my mind drilling a broken shaft out of a bull gear😵‍💫,
