Call first to make sure they have what you need. Superior coal prep is nearby and similar price but some have found the coal there to be a bit less quality

Blaschack is selling locally southwestern pa 354 bulk . You think you can make the trip worth while to save $154/ton ? Honestly I just used the pike from somerset to Lancaster this summer w/o ez pass and it was $78.00 .ez pass is almost half price. Figure in at least $140 in gas . Plus your time ? At the end of the day are you really saving that much ?

I live in North Central MA. I burn Sherman Coal and am very satisfied. Burns to a fine powder. I've had back luck in the past with some others and feel like I really lucked out that my dealer uses Sherman and Lehigh. Wish I paid $200 a ton!!

Looks like I won't be burning coal this year. I can't find any in Atlanta.

You could have a pallet of bagged coal shipped to you via LTL freight. It would be expensive, but if you need it at least there is an option.

If you have a Tractor Supply near you, even stores that don't normally carry coal, they can order it and have it coming on their normal delivery truck. Some managers say they can't, but that's most often because they don't want to deal with it. However, a call to TSC main offices will get them to change their mind.

I know because I did that one year when one of the TSC near me got a new manager that didn't want to deal with coal. Main office called her and "straightened" her attitude about taking care of customer's needs.

With the other TSC near me, they were out of stock and said they were not planning to order more because it was late in the season, and they don't want pallets of coal taking up their limited space in the off season. I asked them to order a full pallet for me and they willingly obliged.

Might be worth it to make a few phone calls ?

Paul
