Hi All, My wife suggested for my 70th birthday ( 4 years time) that we return to the states to celebrate. She also said that because I am mad on antique stoves that I should ask you lads where the best stove convention is ,and what date and day its held . It would be great to see maybe some members to put a face to the names. Also as I am totally ignorant about these shows do they make a day of it with food, drinks, Barbecue etc . Thanks in advance wal

70 yrs old, traveling the world to go to coal stove conventions ?

That's the retirement we all want.

I tried to do that but when I got in my car I hurt my back. Back inside the house for some coffee. Trip cancelled.

I think you missed to convention that happened recently, in Chicago at Madison and Michigan ave.

Walt.

The Antique Stove Association is the only one I'm aware of. I believe our member "mntbugy" is on the board. You can try a PM to him for more info about upcoming shows.

https://antiquestoveassociation.org/

Other than that, you can spend days working your way across our New England states just with visits to individual stove restoration shops. I know of at least four that are said to have a few hundred stoves each. All within a few hours' drive of each other.

The Stove Association has the same type characters as coalpail...

The website is somewhat open to the public in one location. Rest is locked, members only.

Hello, this is my first message. Very new member. I am from the Netherlands and I have a collection of 9 stoves. My husband thinks I am crazy. I am not allowed to buy more stoves but I have rented a garage where I can stack more stuff and coal secretely.
I will be 70 in 2027 also. Now I have this convention on my coal bucketlist!!
Thanks for the idea.
