Handling Super Sacks

Hey guys, getting to be that time of year again and I'm switching it up due to the mess of dumping dry coal in the basement. I tore the bin out and I'm switching to Super Sacks. Gonna lower them in the basement and put on a pallet and roll them in with a jack for storage. My next thought was to build a gantry crane to get them in the air and over a barrel where the auger will be. Rolling them around with a pallet jack will be easy but my struggle comes once I seen how much a 1 1/2 ton hoist costs. So here is what I've come up with for options..... buy an electric chain hoist (a little pricey), buy a 12,000lb 12V vehicle winch and run off a battery (more affordable if it would dead lift 2500lbs), a chain fall, or a heavy duty 3 ton capacity engine cherry picker? I'm open to all and any suggestions or they may be a few of you guys doing it? I have 97" to the bottom of my floor joist so as long as I keep everything as high as I can, shouldn't have a height issue.

Look up a Gent here named "Vermont Day"... A long ago poster,he had this "Super Sack" thing down to a science with no need for a hoist,as I remember!!

Was going to second the pallet system from vermont day...
Manual pallet jack will work just fine...
Keep an eye out for a battery powered one for those later years...
Auger the ash out...

I'm a little tight on space without moving my boiler so I opted to buy a new "short" pallet jack. Ordered it 2 days ago and my system will have to be a little bit different dimensionally due to the auger angle and height.
