Interestingly,

Nippon Steel has recently offered 14.9B for full control of US Steel of PA.

If their country is in trouble it must be at a glacial pace

And/ or their financial elites are not sharing the same problems

Definitely was Nippon. But no consensus on purchase price. 14.1, 14.9, 15 billion.

Seems to me the Who and how much is kind of beside the point

The foreseeable negatives of any foreign entity owning and controlling the output of that particular industry flagship is very concerning to say the least

I would not expect that facility to be administrated or even manned by Americans from here on out for starters
