Because it's used in pesticides. There is going to be all kinds of nasty things in your food both man-made and natural. The thing to question is if the amount is a concern.

Its like having an acceptable level of arsonic in a towns water supply. It sounds scary but its such a low level it causes no harm. Those spooky news media outlets that have told you how bad EVERYTHING is also tells you how people are living longer. Kind of a catch 22 if you cant think for yourself.

BB, feel free to volunteer to pull weeds on farms so they dont have to use it. The fact is it will be used until they find something better. There is no way they will go back to pulling and hoeing weeds again as the labor isnt there and its too expensive anyway. And thats besides the increased yields.

Most people cant keep a 100 square foot garden weed free. Try it with 100 acres without chemicals and thats a small farm.

I wish they didnt have to use it either but there are a lot worse chemicals they could be using.
