You can add a 3rd pair of thermostat wires that goes to the NO contacts on the timer. That way all the timer does is trigger the other switch and start the stoker. (the alterative is you wire 120v through the NO contacts on the timer)
This may be a bit to technical for me unless I had everything in front of me. A local hvac guy I know my have a line on a used working honeywell box for me so once I get an answer from him I'll see where I'm at.

Maybe, depending on how much current your stoker motor draws. Typically those are used with circulators that draw much less power than a stoker motor.

I'm curious.... Did you call Mark's Supply to see what they have on the shelf for a replacement ?

According to your profile it looks like they are about 20 minutes from you.

Rob R. wrote: Mon. Apr. 05, 2021 9:35 am Do you have two thermostats?
As a follow up to this the second set of thermostat wires run to this:

If you are ever passing thru Shenandoah, take a few minutes and stop in Mark's.

Two steps inside the door you will realize why I recommended them. :D

Even though I'm 50 miles away they are my first call for hard to find or obsolete stoker replacement parts.

If you are not in a hurry, I would definitely go with ordering and building a solid state timer.

But...... If I needed to be up and running early this morning I would have been parked in front of Mark's Supply at 8:25.

That is an aquastat and it's purpose is to prevent your boiler temperature from dropping too low while producing hot water via a tankless coil.

That makes good sense and also explains why they just have those wires stacked on top of the thermostat wires I never have an issue with running out of hot water

Make sure you mount it level and adjust the timer wheel to match your old one.

Will do, as this is a job for tomorrow morning being that I work second shift. Hopefully a simple plug and play procedure. I may still look into ordering a solid state timer and going that route in the future when I run into this again.....

If the replacement you picked up is a previously owned one, it's worth looking into ordering the solid state one as a backup.

NepaCoal bult a really nice one in this thread ...... New Solid State Timer ........and you can build it in your old enclosure. That's the one I plan to install on my upcoming EFM installation at the shop.

Glad to see you found one to get you back in service. :D

Yes glad to get one to get me back in service especially for the warmer days we're having doesn't so much matter at night but during the day when it's at idle it could go out
