I see questions on this stove once in a while, and just caught a YT video from Doug, at the Cape. It's my new love...of the week. Why isn't there more info on this stove? I see Paulie posted a photo of himself standing next to one. Are they rare, or a poor performer? They look to be comparable to either a G6, or G8, yet there isn't much data to be found. I just have a few questions, if some-one might know?
Are they Base Burners? (I thought Oak stoves weren't)
Do they have prismatic grates?
How much coal will the pot hold?
I like the size of the ash pan, and also the mica doors.

Never mind, I found the video.

It's just a backpipe oak, not a base heater. Very pretty. Unique in that it has a lot of mica in the door.

Try 2018 stove Convention pics.

There was a 290 on marketplace not long ago. For a couple bucks. Paulie contacted seller but nothing happened.

I see that one is a monster too, but the mica door doesn't come close to the 290 above.

Which one, Scott? The 290? Paul says it's not a BB, but if the pots as big as it appears, maybe it won't matter? The 118, looks like my 111, only needing a diet.

Steve's 118 look nothing like the 111.

More like a GW 118 with more windows.

What-da-ya mean MT? It's tall, round, black, nickled, with 3 little windows. But it is a tad bigger.

I’m buying out the Vermont antique stove shop next week and it comes with 2 of the Stewart oak 180s, I believe they are the older slightly fancier version. I haven’t seen them in person yet
