I've bought coal here twice. Last November and again mid-January. It's all eastern KY coal. This stuff burns very clean. It'll smoke & smell a little if too much is added at a time. Otherwise, it burns very clean. My neighbors were surprised when I told them I was heating the shop with coal. Said they've never smelled it. That's a big positive for me.

If you are in Eastern Ohio or Western Pennsylvania there is Thompson Brothers Mining in New Springfield Ohio. Very close the Ohio/PA line. I believe they mine bituminous right there on site and carry other kinds of Ohio bituminous, Kentucky lump, as well as anthracite.

I got my bit from Tohmpson bros for years but they couldn’t get stoker this year so I had too find another source. If out Ben Hal mining right off the barkeyville pa exit think that’s how it’s spelled. Probably some of the nice bit I have burned problem is there stoker is a little larger so I have too build a crusher but for 100.00 a ton I am ok with it.
