This story made me wonder about traveling with a detector. Does anyone here do it? I never thought about it before even though, like everyone else here, I have them all over my house.

Yes. Company I worked for bought all of us co detectors to use when we traveled on company business. This was back in 2006. I still use it in my house. It is a good unit, operates on 120vac with battery backup.

Isn't that getting past its life span? I thought most CO detectors are good 5-7 years..
