If you haven't heard the news Val Kilmer died yesterday, one of his best performances was as Jim Morrison in part because he personally sang all the parts. He was so convincing he even fooled former Doors members. Great movie if you haven't seen it.

Excellent movie even if your not a big Doors fan. Val was great. RIP

Love or hate their politics U2 is phenomenal musically. Music does need to be complicated to be good and that is what they bring to the table. Some different versions of U2's "I still haven't found what I'm looking for".
The first one which original studio version is also interesting, I'm guessing they did this early morning but they would never be able to do it a short time after the video was released. They would be mobbed.
Last one from the Rose Bowl includes short cover of "Stand by me" at the end.
Original studio version:
Produced version with gospel choir;

Live version from Spain:

Yes, quite a list. Not too many I'd listen to a whole album of except Joan Jett. But they all had good hits I like. Waylon, of course I love him.

Those were early 80's hits and I'd agree Joan Jett is standout on the list. I was listening to that in my preteens and early teens some them on 45's. Then I found Ozzy. LOL I had Diary of Madman and Blizzard of Oz on vinyl.

Ozzy has performed his last show with opening acts Mettallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Tool, Guns n' Roses and many others. This was followed by set list of his singles and ending the show with Black Sabbath. He returned after a few years hiatus because of Parkinson's diagnosis in 2020 to finish his career where it started. It was a charity event with all proceeds going to Parkinson's research.
He sounds surprisingly good given his current health condition. Most of these singers don't know when to hang it up but he doesn't need too if his body wasn't failing hm. He's been rockin' and rolling since a few years before I was born. I had the pleasure of seeing Black Sabbath a few years ago and it was great show.
Complete Black Sabbath set list, this video is probably not going to last very long on YT as it's clearly production quality.

Friggin YouTube and their G/D copyright B/S! Hate that. Video is GONE! I need to find that - I've been hearing all about it all night on Hair Nation.
I shot a vid recently of me using my new Bead Bazooka 6L2 ... but I had Manfred Mann's "Blinded By The Light" (cover of Springstein's tune) in the background, and YouTube completely blocked it!! Friggin PITA. The video is useless without the audio to convey just how powerful that tool is!
Anyway ... Ozzy is an absolute LEGEND! One of my favorites, too, but it's tough to pick a favorite from the 60's to early 90's - there was so much good stuff out then! The early 80's was some of the best ever from outlaw country to early heavy metal - stuff that still gives me goosebumps every time I listen! Same with the 60's.
It's nearly 02:30 ... so I can't listen to anything. It must be played at volume level 11, and the wifey is sleeping.
