I grew up around Cub Cadets and don't have any knowledge of these old Deere tractors. I looked the 318 up on TractorData.com. According to that site, brand new, these things cost $5650 in 1989. That is hard to believe considering that is equivalent to $14,605 today. Anybody buy one new and remember what they paid for it? I just assumed they were gear drive but looks like they are hydrostatic. They do seem to hold their value on Marketplace if they are in good mechanical and cosmetic condition.

They are hydrostatic and have auxiliary hydraulic remotes for attachments.
