They may shut down for long periods of time and no payment either. The driveway thing, no home here can have more than 1 driveway and farm field access its 1 on each road it touches, yet they let the solar farm here have 6. Money talks and the county gets a check each year so they dont care... Everything about them is crooked.

They also brag about money farmers are getting and the 3 people here who owned the solar land were investors, living in far away places. Some of the windfarms do rent from farmers but many of those spots are also investors.

If I lived in a nearby town and left a 2x4 leaning against a building to long I'd get a letter to remove it as its an eyesore but they can build a 450' to 650 foot windmill that can be seen on flat land for over 25 miles by 50,000 people. I also cant shoot eagles and they can kill them because they have a permit that allows it. I could ramble on all day, LOL

IM 100% for private solar on homesites for private use and wasteland like old pastures, in cities on bare lots or on top of businesses. Not farmland. Windmills Im less tolerant of as they are everywhere here and its all I see if I drive anywhere. I'd much prefer a NG powerplant that works 24/7 and affects fewer peoples lives.

Yeah, the place in munnsville is owned by someone out of state. I'm curious if they try to do that on purpose, since no local wants it next to their house. My experience with windmills started way back when Vestas put the first ones in in Madison NY. Where i worked dealt with them some, and they brought the pieces right by work when they went to install them. I can see a couple from home, but they are way off in the distance. Actually drove by the ones near perryville on Saturday. They are neat to look at but I don't know as if I'd want to live close by.

I can see about 200 from my place but they are all at least 11? miles away. If they go thru with the next farm I'll have the monsters less than 2 miles on 3 sides, 650 feet tall. I think theres only one other farm that tall in this country. It isnt 1 or 2 or 3 that are so bad but when put in 20 or 30 in 5-10 square miles and your near it, its really an eyesore. God forbid your in the shadow of the moving blade as it turns. I will be in the real early mornings during summer, but not winter.

Of the 2 forms, I'd rather have solar around my house than windmills. Im just meaning to have to look at. They would stop a lot of snow drifting too if real close, so not 100% bad. But they would still suck. I'd rather just have corn and coyotes, lol. Its all just opinions of course.

I concur with the corn, I'll pass on the coyotes.
