Like I always say ...

Electronics are GREAT ... when they are working properly. When not, it's aneurism time .. or, "open-the-wallet-WIDE" time! Whether you fix it or someone else does, it's gonna SUCK. :o

I've learned to just avoid them altogether, and my stress level went WAY, way down!

The V8 Powered 944 made it through inspection again with no problems. The 'Old Fashion' mechanical power steering is working better than I thought it would so we will keep it.

More good news from my mechanic. He said that PA recently changed the rules for Antique, Classic, ect. tags. They have removed the 5,000 mile per year limitation and replaced it with "No more than once a week use".

Being that there is no realistic way to check for more than once a week use, we're going to register the Old Porsche as an Antique! That sounds funny because to me it is still a "Newer Car".

The Antique registration is a one time fee and does not require yearly inspection. I will probably take it in one a year or so just to get a second set of eyes on it. I'm not as sharp as I used to be so occasionally I miss something. :D

No I don't. That is something for me to think about though. If this car or my 20 year old Cadillac were in an accident, I would want it to be covered.

Great, something else to worry about!
