Hello everyone. Brand new to the forum and if this is not in the correct place feel free to move it!

We bought a large old farm house in Carnoustie, Scotland a year ago. Winter was very cold. I have a Coalbrookdale Much Wedlock in our living room which kicks out great heat, but I bought a Darby I found on Facebook for the kitchen / dining room. Unfortunately it has a back boiler...

When purchased we had an old heating system, but since I bought it a few months ago we have gotten a pressurised combi boiler system. My questions are:

Can the back boiler be disconnected?

Is there a safe / easy way to connect it to the system so it can be used as a boiler?

Hi and welcome. I wont know the answers but some pictures of the stoves you have questions about are helpful. Click on the full editor & preview below to add pics. I add pics different than others so I wont describe how but no host is needed to add pics.

Will you be burning ovoids or anthracite? There are a few members here from England and other places but I dont remember anyone from Scotland. They will understand burning ovoids better than us Americans if thats what you use.
