Why so high? No solar at all?

Almost $0.21 per kWh just for delivery.

Damn! That's outrageous for delivery. Looking at adding more solar makes sense to me.

Wow. That amount of power would cost me just a little over $300 with everything including sales tax.

With me, its the monthly delivery fee and taxes equaling my electric usage most months as I only use 300KW on average, so I end out with over 30 cents per KW.

As more people add solar they will probably raise their delivery charges to make up for less power being sold.

I don't know all the logistics. My Electric Supplier in Connecticut does not produce energy and you can choose who you want to supply your electricity. The electric company does the delivery.

I had not considered that - but it makes sense. Less kWh delivered, so the cost of the grid gets spread over fewer units.

A Tesla as a daily driver for his wife.

I don't know if that's the large amount of use. But yeah, I would assume it's a large part.

Now you got me thinking. Even with some rough calculations, the Tesla would only be around a third of the bill. And that's guessing 50 miles per day.

I use that much and don’t have an EV. Dehumidifiers in the summer and electric heat in the winter are the main drivers for me.
