Lyemance Chiminey Damper?

Has anyone here ever used a Lyemance chiminey damper? They look interesting but have never heard much about them.

Stoker Coal Boiler: Gentleman Janitor GJ-5, Van Wert VA-600, Axeman Anderson130 X3.
Hand Fed Coal Furnace: Harman SF3500 reduced down to 3 grates connected to its own plenum
Coal Size/Type: Rice, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood

It doesn't look like you could use it on a coal fired unit. Looks like it's for oil or gas fired units for when the burner isn't running. If you tried to do that with a coal unit, you would kill the draft and have CO backup into your house.

Also, it is metal, so it probably won't last long in the flyash environment.

I used to have on in the old house where we had 3 flues in the same 12' wide chimney.

1 for oil boiler from basement, center on for 1st floor pass through fireplace, and other for wood burning insert in basement.

Problem was the wooed burner was a 100% positive connect from stove to top of chimney, when it ran the 1st floor fireplace would back draft the smoke back into the house. My chimney guy recommended the Lynmance damper which shut off the airflow from the 1st floor fireplace.

Not sure if it was supposed to be used for damper draft control but it sealed that chimney.
