The good and the bad... Honest report on cars...

These are high mileage vehicles...Some used in rental...

Now new models with batteries that can go 1,500,000 Km on the battery...1 million miles warranty...

It's over for all ICE vehicles... No place to hide for ICE...

Considering most ICE vehicles can easily get 200K with proper maintenance I would not consider 86K or 100K high mileage.

"When you buy a new car, you want it to last. iSeeCars analyzed more than two million vehicles to find out which models have the potential to last the longest. On average, 1 percent of cars built every year make it past 200,000 miles.Dec 6, 2022"

1% or less go 200,000 miles a real small number...Less than 150,000 per year of 15m sales...3,000 per state...

That link is talking about rental cars which are abused more.

I must be at the 75% level of mine making 200K, all bought used but Im pretty easy on them.

Around 220-250K is when mine usually are junked. Had one that made 300K, a 1983 Ford truck. My 1992 would make 300K if I drive it more often. Note: I buy vehicles known for lasting like pickups, full sized cars. Presently a Dodge Caravan that had almost 200K when I got it.

Funny you mentioned the caravan. My uncle had one for years as a farm truck. He transported some calves a couple times. Mostly used it as a tool transport. Had more tools in that thing than his garage.

I inherited it from an Uncle who used it for selling antiques at steam engine shows. Im sure he overloaded it and pulled a small trailer besides that. I had to put some money into it but yes, it seems decent and can haul.

He had seats removed behind driver and a raised platform in back that he put 6 eight foot table under and loaded the platform with stuff then slept on that platform at shows after setting up. Pretty neat how he rigged it up for his purpose.

It had just under 200K when I got it and over that now, but they are known to last a while. Mostly easy to work on.
