More detail on foreign auto makers in China...Sales down ~50% in a few years...

https://www.google.com/search?q=just+how+bad+are+ ... a&gs_ivs=1

They only have ICE cars and some ho hum Ev's... That's where the growth is , 50% Ev's in China...

There getting their a$$es kicked... They don't produce what customers want...

GM investing in ICE is money wasted... China the biggest car market in the world...

Any US company pouring money into China deserves what they get. Can trust communist countries and communist regimes. All will regret it beside auto makers including, Boeing, Apple and Tesla.

Now the Chinese will get around any tariff ... They will build in local markets...

Most important now is technology... It takes time to engineer it into the cars...

Build in Mexico and Canada for the US market...

GM and Ford only want overpriced trucks... They will be rudely awakened...

US News media keep telling people EV sales are down...

Lets go with the facts... Worldwide sales are up...

Chinese market is ~2x the US market.....

The US car co are the laggards not the leaders...

Look at the quantity of Trucks on dealers lots...

We don't need any more trucks...Give us some nice EV's...

If the Chinese build here I suggest we immediately send UAW reps into those plants. If you want a prosperous nation we need to build things here, it's not only prosperity but security as well. The pandemic should of been a wake up call to anyone for how vulnerable we are when the global supply chain collapses. We didn't even have masks and other medical supplies because the Chinese were hording their product.

Competition from nations like China needs to be leveled. If you are employing cheap labor without the protections workers have here. Little to no environmental regulations. Stealing US tech. Sabotaging US companies that enter the Chinese market..... the list is endless.

Did you know you can buy Chinese made Charlotte pipe? It's Chinese knockoff right down to the logo. I don't know if they succeeded yet but Charlotte spent years trying to get the Chinese government to lift a finger.

It's US regulations that drive that. They need to meet the fleet fuel economy averages. They sell higher MPG vehicles for small profit percentage and make it up by selling large vehicles. Small and mid sized trucks don't fit into that profile.

How can you sell all these trucks??? When you have 2022 & 2023 & 2024 trucks???

And now the 2025's are arriving... So more lots full of trucks...

200- 500+ days supply of vehicles.. People don't want these vehicles...

Banks getting in big trouble with used vehicles... Buyers are under water...

Dealers with 100's of new trucks and a slug of used vehicles...

Even cars dealers are desperate ....

GM getting ready to leave China... Firing many of its workers...

https://www.investopedia.com/general-motors-repor ... rt-8694397

All they have are ICE vehicles and China is over 50% BEV and PHEV's...

Largest car market in the world over 2x the US...

Trucks are not a big market in retail ...Same bad news for Ford...

https://www.businessinsider.com/china-auto-sales- ... are-2023-4

"Other than Tesla, popular US auto brands lost major ground in China last year, the world's largest car market that's critically important to manufacturers. GM's car sales there fell by 20% from 2021, while Ford's declined by 33.5%, according to advisory firm Automobility Ltd."

Im sure its all according to plan. China does not want permanent foreign business planted on its soil. Just long enough to invest billons in equipment and steal all the tech. They start out owning 51% and go quickly to 100%.

Very true K2. That has been time proven not to build over there.

Who gives a toot about what China people are having forced down their throats? Pretty poor sales pitch for EV's that China likes them. Makes me prefer having a 1966 Buick getting 6 MPG if I dont stomp on it.
