My 700 has had a few out fires this summer. It has never done this before. the high limit is at 180 the low limit is 155 the differential is 15. It is set at 5teeth feed not sure on the air. It almost seems like it is on high limit all the time which would take the timer out of the scenario. I have not changed these settings in a couple years as it pulls through winter fine. All I do is clean it couple times a year. I am going to check my relay panels to verify the relay's are not stuck keeping it on high limit first.

Is your flue clear? Is your timer functioning?

Hi Phil ,
I have coal that can only be burned under heavy demand , or it will snuff out . And coal that is so nice , under any conditions it holds a fire very well .

Plus, no timer for years .

I have burning lehigh for several years never had any issues with it. the relay in one of my zone control is stuck keeping it on high limit which overides the timer. The zone control panels are *censored* I have replaced 1 of them 4 times in 7-8 years.

Turns out the timer only works when it wants to. Time for a new one

Anyone have a valid model# for a repeat cycle timer. Mine is an Intermatic C8865 and I get no matches when I do a search for a new one. Even Tork only comes up with 24 hour ones.

Check out the timer thread in my signature. I use this timer on an EFM 520 and a Keystoker. They work great.

So as as temporary fix I plugged primary loop pump into an extension cord so it runs 24/7. I have not had an out fire since with no timer. My primary loop only goes from front of boiler to the back. less then 10' of total pipe. It has close spaced tees and gets no ghost flow.
