I bought window a/c units and am well satisfied... They are really efficient...

I got midea 12,000 btu U shaped a/c and they are really quiet.. not like old ones...

The compressor is outside of the glass so the noise is mostly outside...

They are inverter type so 1440 watts for 12,000btu of cooling...

It is also compatible with many Bluetooth apps like Google home etc...

Can be controlled from anywhere through the apps..

Can also be be programmed with a schedule to be able to use off peak electric...

It took me a bit to understand what it meant by U shape but I like that part as I hate noise. More watts than I could use in my old 60 amp house but looks like a decent unit for the money. I was expecting it to cost more. Think I spent $200 20 years ago for my 600 watt unit.

Being blueooth and all that techy stuff doesnt make it worth a penny more to me but to some people it would. Hope they last for you.
