I can't seem to find it except for that article but I would love to know the source of that image. Whatever the case it is no way representative of a fracking site in PA. Wastewater goes to an impoundment pond. It's either reused, injected into deep disposal wells or treated before being released into waterways.

I like to rent one out of curiosity just to see what they drive like but i doubt i would want to buy for the same reason outlined in this article. Not just too high, but too far away,

That is more of problem with a Tesla not being able to make enough of them to meet current demand. It would take them years to fill the reserve orders however I strongly suspect a lot of those reserves are going to get cancelled since there is no penalty. I wouldn't think they would expand manufacturing capacity until the dust settles and they know what the real demand is. Ford on the other hand if I understand correctly has a lot of overstock and recently cut the price.

People can argue tax credits for EV's and Solar are bad. I am against all taxes and tax credits. But if you are okay with tax credits for your mortgage, or 401k or IRA, or insulation, or replacement windows, or replacement water heater, or????

The way I see it is if money has been extorted from me to pay for whatever Government wants, then if there is a credit that I can use, I am going to use it.

All those people that think funding Foreign wars are a good idea are doing so with my money. The way I see it, the EV and Solar credit does more for the American Citizen than sending money as foreign aid to foreign Governments. My guess is more money goes to foreign aid and wars than to EV/Solar credit/subsidies. Bullets and missiles in Ukraine do nothing for me. Solar and EV does.

Obama did away with any tax benefits of a mortgage years ago. I used to make out pretty good since the bank was raping me in interest. Then, POOF - stroke of a pen, all gone!

401k is a joke, since you get reamed if you take anything out early, or even borrow against it. Then when you retire, they nail you again! I could probably do better just throwing my money under a mattress every week these days.

Insulation is the cheap crap that wouldn't work in my house. No subsidies for closed-cell foam - the only insulation that not only works better than any other, but has several other benefits as well, like sound deadening, moisture barrier, structural rigidity, etc..

It's definitely nice to live in a somewhat free country. While things are bad and getting worse here, it's still 10,000x better than anywhere else on earth, hands down!

Out in Monterey California I rented a 71 Mustang Mach1 with the long slopping rear window - like the Tesla's windshield. Anyone in the back seat on a sunny day roasted even with the AC on full.

Henry Ford built his cars to run on alcohol over 100 years ago. The problems are the same today as they were back then.

Cleaner burning yes, but not more efficient. There is a lot less heat energy in a gallon of any form of alcohol than in gasoline. We saw that when gas milage dropped with the switch to just 10% ethanol added to the gasoline. The E85 is even worse on gas milage and why it never caught on.

Then there's the problems caused by water absorption.

Plus, the problems caused by farmland being taken for alcohol production rather than food and feed stocks that drove up food prices.
