just got home from the hospital, now they are taking mom for a mri of her brain. They saw some scar tissue on the cat scan. doctor told me she had a stoke in the past. I'm thinking it was early 2018, she fell and had a hard time walking after that episode.

Update.

Mom has colon cancer. Surgeon said they have to get it out right away because it's fast acting. It was not there when she had a tumor removed from her uterus in November via outpatient surgery.

Surgeon is going to remove the lower 8" of her colon to remove the fast acting cancer. They also have to give her blood.

My aunt and I were visiting when the surgeon came to talk to mom. He asked my aunt and I if we had any polyps removed when we had colonoscopies and we both said yes.

I'm a few yrs past due and setting one up for myself after my sons wedding this month.

I know it's not great news lincolnmania, but on the other hand they know what they are dealing with. Let's hope for the best. Also have your son speak to his doctor about your and your mom's condition because it will move his first screening colonoscopy up.

Headed to the hospital. Mom called me she's seeing double and blurry and severe pain in her legs and can't get out of bed to use the commode. Waiting on the mri results.

Got a ramp built for mom so she does not have to do steps. it's ada compliant. My friend Roger is helping me. We have to install the railings Monday.

Mom is coming home Tuesday. I have to pick her up at the rehab at 11 am. The wheelchair barely fits in the car.
She can walk with the assistance of the walker but they want me to use the wheel chair for her if it's distance, I was there with her at therapy today and she can walk 100 foot before she gets tired. don't sound like much but big progress.

We had a meeting with the doctor at the cancer center Thursday. They wanted to start her on chemotherapy next week. Mom said she needed time to think about it so they put her next appt to late June. Today mom told me she don't want that port in her. She worked on the cancer floor at the local hospital for many years she knows the procedures.
We were told the cancer is terminal. mom asked how long she might have with chemotherapy treatment is one to two years.
keep praying!
