Hand Fed Coal Boiler: Jensen

Post by Dfmihm »

Hey all, was kinda wondering how many CFM blowers do yins run? I think in mine it’s right around 50? At least when I researched the model blower that’s about what it comes out to.

And is there such a thing as a standard air flow for coal? The boiler I have I’m not even sure of the model other than it’s a Jensen. So really whatever parts are on it is how I got it and who knows if it’s right.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as standard. It has to be throttled to meet the requirement of the coal. Unfortunately bit coal is inconsistent as to burning characteristics. My combustioneer has a round plate that covers the air intake to decrease the airflow.
