My apologies, I accidentally posted in this topic about my dog passing. FYI this can happen occasionally by other means, usually a spam post.

Sad posts. Fourteen is a good old age though. I lost my Princess to Cushing's - it was heartbreaking but it helps when they have been well loved.

Im sorry Wren. Nice pic of the dog and baby together.
Those are nice warm lap or couch dogs Fred! I used to love my big old yellow lab on my lap or on the couch during a nap even though she was heavy.
Are Greyhounds difficult to raise compared to other dog breeds Rob?

Correct. Okie walked into glass doors, and didn’t know how to use stairs. Tape on the glass helped him figure out the doors but he still has issues with stairs. Rather than just use the steps like a normal dog he “launches” himself up the stairs with two huge leaps.

Dogs are amazing. They get us out into the fresh air regularly and warm our feet and make us laugh. But Princess was only 11 when she died. Fourteen being a good age was referring someone else's dog that died just last page.

I used to do lot of camping in my 20's, hiking into the woods camping. I had the equipment to be able to sleep right out in the open even in the winter. I was more likely to have a tent in warmer weather because of the bugs.
No tent, more room for beer. I had a dog I took all the time, when it was time for bed she'd be sitting at my feet waiting for me to unzip the bottom of the bag to get in. Another giant bonus is she was pretty aggressive once she was in "her space". Nobody could mess with me when I was sleeping, she' give them a smile. She would even growl at my Mother if I was sleeping on the couch.

Hi, This is my Staffordshire bull terrier ,diesel. We adopted him from a family that said they didn't have time for him anymore .when we took him to the vets to be checked over they told us he was terminally ill and he had 3 to 6 months to live . They basically were getting rid of him . He was beautiful inside and out , never barked or growled, loved everyone he Met ,always rolling over on his back so he could get a tummy rub. Both me and fi gave him the best life we could and he lived 3 more years before we had to take him to the vets to be put to sleep at the age of 11 as cancer had taken everything from him . It's been 5 months now since he passed and I still can't get past the grief. I'm 6'2" and weigh 240lbs and I sat in the vets and cried like a baby . Don't think I could ever find another dog to replace the void he has left . He was a special soul.

Probably the best 3 years of his life. Nice looking fella. Don't go hard on yourself, sometimes the bond with an animal is stronger. If you're interested in a story pm me.Walt wrote: ↑Thu.
