Cheap electric splitter

Traded a 100- impact gun for a 200- 5 ton task force electric splitter definitely worth it for anyone hand splitting , getting about 15-20 3-4” inch splits in 10–12 minutes , I haven’t gotten a piece that didn’t split , gunna add a catcher table to make positioning easier, have around 1 1/2 ton stockpiled coal ,

- Coal Size/Type: nut ant, lignite
- Other Heating: Wood, wear a wool shirt and sleep under a Hudson Bay Wool Blanket when out of coal
What kind of wood are you splitting? I thought of getting one for smaller easy to split wood and then selling it when Im done but then I sharpened my axe, lol I probably only have a few years of wood cutting left in me. Good to hear a nice review of them.

So far oak and locust , some cut in the last few months , and other pieces that have been seasoned for 2-3 years, ( it’s rated for 10-12” diameter logs but I’ve done some monstrous pieces without issue)

Locust can be tough to split so your doing well! Ive used chunks of locust and other knotty woods for backstops for shooting guns to split it, lol

Exactly ! That’s why I posted ( I had a piece with curved and twisted grain . Normally I would have to use the saw and cut that into chunks , this little thing splits that with no issue other than having to add a 10” pine block to finish pushing the locust past the blade to break the fibers still holding pieces together)
