Mornin'
Yes, HB, everybody was "Irish" yesterday.....let's see if we can put together an 'Irish coffee' at Freddy's Coffee House, to thank Mother Nature for a very mild Winter, the exception being this past week, when 'Ole Man Winter' dumped on the Northeast!!!
First day of Spring Monday....Yahoo!!!!!.....forecast 50's next week...letting the Harman burn out and switching to wood fires when we need to keep the chill out. I have a 1/2 ton of Lehigh in the bank for next season. Stay healthy, and have a great week-end!!!!!
Cheers

Good morning guys. I see someone needs a little hair of the the dog that bit you! By all means have at it lol!!! One more coat of oil on the garand that will be number 8 and I’ll post a final pic. I’ve got a hen eating eggs, I’m headed to harbor freight for some cheap paint trays to make some roll away nest box’s, hopefully they work. Exciting stuff here lol. Two more cooler days then a nice warm up next week. Have a good morning and I’ll check back in later.

No Lion's mighty Roar can stop Mother Nature in her tracks now that the Ides of March have past.

I am always surprised at how much earlier spring comes to you guys only a days drive away. I am still blanketed with snow and dealing with wind off the still frozen lake.

Its a cold one here so if Im going to have any drink it has to be something I can set on fire!

Its been different burning wood again but Im pulling it off on one match for the year, same as coal. Its just not as warm! I'll be happy as soon as I can open windows again.

Indoor activities today but 40's by mid week. Nice pic Handire. Have a good one!

Here's a local Irish ditty you might enjoy. A St. Patrick's Day parade on the southside happened every year in the 80s ongoing until they shut it down because of the people doing "Irish" things (ie excessive drinking, underage drinking, fighting, etc). The recently re-opened up the parade.

The fights were the best part of the parade. A Chicago tradition.

Plattsburgh NY also used to be popular destination for St. Patrick's Day. The entire downtown area used to be blocked off and packed with people.

"It was crazy, but it got out of control," he said.

^ article part

Of course it got out of control. You have a) bunch of Irishmen drinking all in one place and 2) have rookie non-irish trying to drink like the Irish.

And, where most fights I was involved with there were Irish there from Ireland that I got into fights with. Good times.

You're not kidding, I went from shoveling to mopping. The dogs bring in more mud than you can imagine. At least it froze again last night. Back in the forties on Monday.
