Electric rates in WV going up..

West Virginia depends on coal for electric... And it is costing them...

Yup.

And unlike some other states, they haven't stupidly passed laws forcing people to use more electricity instead of fossil fuel, and then told them to cut back on using electricity because they don't have the grid capacity ?

The whole country needs infrastructure replacement. You should see the electric poles leaning on my road lol.

They use splints on poles when they get old now. Poles like these used to be replaced. Shareholders over infrastructure.

Not putting enough money back into the grid, instead of their shareholder's pockets, caught up to and put LILCO (Long Island Lighting Co.) out of business when hurricane Gloria hit Long Island. And then the shareholders lost out, too.

There was so much damage and long power outages because LILCO had not been keeping up with trimming trees or doing enough maintenance on the lines. It was so bad the State stepped in and eventually forced LILCO out.
