Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have a few questions, but I'll start with the topic.
Sorry I don't know all the proper terminology, but I'll try. Going to try and post video if I can figure it out.

So the arm that connects to the gear box and ratchet had one of the holes all worn out and the pins it connects to were worn out as well. The arm would jump up and down. So I replaced all that stuff. Everything seemed good until I put the oil bath back on and the ratchet got jammed on it basically. And can only mechanically work if I have the bolts very loose to let the oil bath slanted down and it still kisses it.
Any ideas? I'm thinking this is why the arm got so worn in the first place that something wasn't right to begin with.

There was one brass washer shimming the ratchet out. But seems like it needs to be shimmed out more? The washer was thicker like almost 3/16" I'd say without going to measure.

I do have a video if anyone can help me with loading it.

Thanks,
Tim

Either you have the shims installed wrong, or something is very worn.

How are the brass bushings that the shaft goes through?

Will have to check the shaft bushings once I rip it apart again. I put it together the same as it was originally.

It only has the one brass washer on the inside of the gear I believe. But I did see there could be multiple brass washers if you buy the new part. They look thin though. My one brass washer is like 1/8"-3/16" thick though.

Should there be brass washers on both sides of the gear?

Ok got video uploaded. That is with the oil bath loose or else it would crash hard into it and jam up.

That is really strange. Are you sure the bushings in the connecting rod were installed in the correct location?

Yea im pretty sure the connecting arm and bushings are correct. I don't think the previous owners kept up on the maintenance so I'm trying to go over everything. It seems like it needs to be shimmed alot out to clear the oil bath.

Try flipping or mirror the the main ratchet arm?
Put the connecting rod we’re the drive pawl is and vise versa. Har to tell from the video but looks like there different lengths from the center of the clutch/bearing pocket?

I just watched the second video looks like it can be flipped the casting looks like when you flip it it will give you
space Away from the gear and drive pawl.

That’s odd is there any spacer or adjustments the oil bath bolts?

Yes. The new style gearbox uses the bent arm. I have looked at the pictures and videos above several times, and have no idea what is wrong with the stoker. I am sure it is something simple, but nothing sticks out in the pictures.
