It's doing ok but I'm approaching a crisis.

My coal hauler hasn't been able to keep his truck running long enough to get me a load of coal.

He was supposed to bring me a load this morning after several false starts over the last month or more, but broke down again.

Had lots but now it's starting to get low.

And, for the next few days, the yard will be soft.

He has my money.
Not worried that he'll rip me off but not sure if he can perform.

How's your new furnace doing?

Oh I love it, thanks for asking :) it's the best thing I've done in a long time lol. It's running like a Swiss wrist watch. No complaints.

Nothing yet. But I have a couple ideas. Nothing major though, I really like the original stock set up.

Same as I have been, BigBarney.

Nut coal from the Shelocta tipple. Can't remember if it's Upper or Lower Kittanning.

Worked well last year

Looking like I might be done burning for the year.

Rather non-eventful year with it not being terribly cold.
It was harder not being too hot on days that weren't very cold (40s and up) yet keep the fire smoldering.

Last load of coal had a lot of fines that I had to work in.

Someday, I may have to do something with the slop in the grates.

Guessing I have about two tons left over

Thanks for allowing me to be here.
See you in the fall

Time to think about gardens and outside stuff

Very good. It's been lit since first week of November, no lost fires. I did have to make a repair on the coal feed tube about a month ago, but I saw the problem coming so I was prepared. Other than that, I like to say it runs like a Swiss watch :)

That's good to hear.
Since you're not fiddling with it, what are you now doing with your spare time?

One thing that all hate about my furnace is how dirty everything s in the house.
Had ducts cleaned n the fall and was hoping that would help, but still have dust everywhere.

Wall and ceing scrubbing soon.
Spring cleaning.
