Was the original correspondence just FYI notice, in other words no action for a reply necessary?
Wonder why they wouldn’t buy a stamp?

Neither of us fully remember it, but we believe it requested a response, as we know that we responded. And then we received the Co-Op enrollment package.

The zoning commission sent us to the roads department. I don't even know that we have an engineering department, but it seems likely. It is not big city like here though. Only a township. It seems as if the engineering dept. was the correct place to go either zoning or roads should have suggested it to us.
Needless to say, there has been zero activity around here to indicate that this is real. No one has sought permits from the township.

Well some office in any sized town needs a stamped engineer...
Even if they are part time...
Seek the engineer...
They will have the knowledge you seek...
LOL...
Here the Utilities rule at the state level...
Towns just get steamrolled...

If a Gas line was being run down my road, I would dump the coal (pun intended) for the gas in a heartbeat!

I emailed Consumers Gas Cooperative yesterday based upon my concerns, and one neighbor insinuating that in paying for a Co-Op membership I may have been scammed. This is part of their reply that I just received:
If the Township Zoning Commission knows nothing, and ditto the Township Roads Dept., whom are they getting their permit(s) from? Perhaps Medina County is aware of this, but my local Township still has no clue.Good morning Lawrence,
Construction will begin soon on your road. We had to modify a permit with Medina County, and it set us back a few days. I’ll be putting some signs out today or tomorrow, and hopefully, we get more call ins for people wanting the service. I hope this clears up any questions.

Chesapeake sold a lot of their gas interests, can not speak of if their co-op interests was sold.
Scammers like not using postage stamps....mail fraud.
It's easier to deliver the gas beneath your very feet to New York City or Overseas than down your street with no mains...

I visited them in person, and they have quite a substantial facility. They already provide a lot of the rural NG in this area, including to the police, fire, townhall, etc... And I didn't hear that from the Co-Op. I asked the Township.

Chesapeake Utilities owns Aspire Energy, which is unregulated, which owns Consumers Gas Co-op. Maybe this will help.

The sign notifying of coming natural gas was posted on our street today. If these guys & gals are running a scam, they are doing it out of what I would guess to be a few million dollar building. And Aspire Energy has an even larger complex on the same property.
