Solar and wind
This article has a lot of unrelated data in it so it would take many
hours to sift through the BS and unless getting paid is a useless
pursuit.
The increases are mainly stranded costs of plants that are no
longer economical to operate and the added cost of new
transmission lines to supply power to their customers.
You will find that the cost of the power at the generation
site is a very competitive cost but to provide the service
requires new infrastructure which is costly and has been
avoided by the utilities because of state regulatory re-
gulations to keep rates low.

I can see solar panels for SMALL uses, LED interior lighting. NOT for high load heavy wattage use, hot water heaters, well pumps, clothes dries, etc!. A few small panels, a "couple of batterys. Inside lights Great..Even on overcast days there is till some input.

I think we should spend trillions figuring out how to move the earth closer to the sun. That should solve a bunch of problems. And prove the global warming nuts correct. We won't need as much heat as the planet will cook, the solar panels might produce 30% of what we need, and the plants would love all the sunshine.

Small uses like drilling holes in them and blowing air through them and you have a air hockey table. Or 4 Jotul 507s as legs and set up as a coffee table. Tree house roofs etc etc. They have lots of uses.

The Sun is assuredly getting brighter by the day as it ages. That has the same relative effect as moving the Sun closer to the Earth. When the Earth was first formed the Sun was only about 70% as bright as it is now. The Earth has managed to maintain its relative temperature fairly well over time though, as when it was first formed the radioactive elements within it and mainly within it's core gave off much more heat than they do now. Radioactive decay means that the Earth emits less radioactive heat each day. So as the Sun ever so slowly brightens and heats the Earth more from without, the Earth ever so slowly heats itself less from within.KLook wrote: ↑Tue. Yet for many centuries, just about everything in print, including in foreign forms, got along fine with single space. Even one of the oldest known writings, the dead seas scrolls, is single space.
Why is that ?

Single space, not double. For some reason each line looks to short too. All you really need to do is type a full paragraph and it will make the sentences go full length across the page, and come back (return) by itself automatically.
Double spacing is done where a new paragraph would start if you were writing a letter by hand without a typewriter. I hope that makes sense... Double spacing was kinda common in the early days of the internet, but anymore it doesnt work well, especially with smart phones for reading, or with small screen laptops. Even with my 15" laptop it can be hard to read sometimes.
