i think heat lamps or one of those cool fire simulators in the firepot now even with out the mica would be photo worthy.

Wow..... Looks awesome Artie !

I'm thinking medallions and the legs in nickel before you trade it to me.

Paulie

I'm willing to trade, but you know what I paid for it.

Got some mica today.

47 sheets of 3.5x3.5 . Thickness is .018. This can be split 3 times thickness wise.

And 18 sheets of 3.5x6 .030 thickness
which can be split 5 times in thickness.

This all weighs just a half pound.

Found some bling under all the paint.
Turns out the Acorn shaped acorns and pulls are brass. They cleaned up pretty good.

The other bling will be dropped off Wensday on the way to work, hopefully pick up Friday.

Got my 2 mica retainers and pattern back from Al on Friday. Brought home the bling today.

It don't look right. The nickel background needs darkened or maybe just plain copper.

I think it looks great ! You can try doing the background in high temp copper followed by a hint of stove polish.

Vestal has some company now.

The GW had to go, didn't fit the decor.

Getting ready for the stove inspector to show in a few weeks. Maybe the other inspector will show also.
