That's pretty good. Only about $25.00 more than the average for bulk around here. It would not have surprised me to hear it was higher, considering how costly it can be to get stuff shipped to the Island, plus the high cost of running a business there.

In case anyone needs in the York PA area... Hoke Mills, 717-843-8889. 5 tons of rice delivered for $200 ton. Lesser amounts have a delivery charge. It's Blaschak and it's great so far! Ask for Sandy.

It was $170 when I went for nut about a month ago. Trying to get out there for some rice soon.

My last load of coal was 2.31tons of Stove Coal from Lehigh cost me $391 in early December and the last 1/2 ton (or less) is still in the trailer except for two 40# buckets sitting in my den. I was planning to go for more Saturday 16 Feb, but it looks like I'm screwed because there is a winter storm which means the trailer will be "snowed in" by my patio door! so for the next few days I will be hauling in all I can find buckets for... or transferring it into my outside "bin"
My outdoor bin is a loose Pickup truck bed with a cap on it AND A York "LOAD-LOK" bedliner in it that is right outside my patio door, so I get to lug a half ton of coal 10 feet one pail at a time in 25 degree weather!
Reason for that is because if it snows on the coal in the trailer though covered with a tarp becomes impossible to shovel out

I buy bagged Blaschalk here in Lancaster and I got 93 bags for $500......thats $8.37/bag.....What is everyone else seeing? I went away from bulk because I got sick of the bin in my driveway taking up room...I was told that much in bulk would only be about $15 less....
