Oh man, here we go! Looks like winter wonderland blew up overnight. Currently 14 degrees, we got a layer of freezing rain with sleet and 8 inches of snow on top of that. I just cleared the jeep off to go to work and it's STILL coming down with wind gusts. It'll be a glorious day in the bread truck haha.
The furnace is lumbering along nicely with 115 degrees pumping out the warm air supply and only 268 over the load door. Homestead 73 and not a creature is stirring.

15 degrees here presently, and that is the forecast high for the day. Plenty of snow on top of ice from freezing rain. Heading for 4 degrees by tomorrow morning.

Was 63F yesterday and rain washed away all the snow. We had the back door open to cool the kitchen, rather than let the range go out.
This morning it's 7F and windy with about 5 inches of snow and a curtain of icicles hanging off the edge of the barn roof.
The old joke line, "If you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes." is no joke here in CNY.

You've always got it bad up there. A balmy +14 here by comparison. I just got in from snowblowing. Saw about 3" to 4" overall and on up to 12+" in the drifts. I've already ran my snowblower more this winter than I did all of last winter.

I ran my snowblower for the 1st time yesterday. Ive been very lucky with that. Most of my state has had a lot but not here. I probably have 2-3" for the year and that blew into drifts I had to blow. Its made the temps more tolerable (lack of snow). We all know how fast that can change.
