If you can find one that has only burned wood, will the grates and liners be in good condition.
Most offered for sale state "in good condition" but the seller has no idea what is supposed to be in it. Most look like this, with homemade non movable grate and no liners;
Homemade grate

The flap at top is hinged for loading to prevent smoke from wood or gasses from coal from rolling in at top.

This is the normal condition of liner parts you will find.

This is taken down inside firebox with fair liners.

This is exceptional with new brick.

They will have a UL tag on the back shield or right side, bottom rear corner. They have shields on bottom and rear.
#1600 was the parts designation for all cast parts. Originals will have 1600-*** on them.

Im guessing people either want a larger firebox for wood burning or the grate breaks so they replace it with a solid piece and remove the sides. Sounds like you have a nice collection.
