Hi, I've been reading the forum for a couple weeks now and have gotten some really good information from it. I have only seen one post on here referring to a DS Machines furnace and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. The one I looked at looks like it is built like a tank. Does anyone know if these are a well built, reliable unit. Is there anything in particular I need to know about them?

Also, the small 2 grate unit is rated at 140,000 BTU. The guy at the store told me not to buy a boiler that was too big. He told me to get one properly sized and fire it hard. Is this a true statement?

I have many more questions. I will post more in the future.

Thanks for any help.

Jeff

Anything that burns anthracite is going to be very well made. The statment the dealer made about sizing is accurate, an oversize boiler will cost more to run and will probably be cranky.
