DS boiler 3200
I got 3 cast iron radiators.3'x3'x10.5w.
If I get these three hooked up, would it be sufficient for a dump Zone? They were being used prior to removing them from House. I still want to change the valves on them. Which I know is a chore. If i. do get them changed. Should I run black iron pipe or? PEX tubing Or what do the pros suggest?

Im no pro by any means but 3 rads that size is more than enough. 1 would probly be sufficient. Are you going to mount them up higher than boiler for a loss of power gravity dump? Or are you doing this as high limit protection? If gravity the bigger the plumbing the better with limited horizontal run. You dont need to add additional radiators for high limit dump. A simple aquastat set at 200 to turn on your largest zone is sufficient.

I've seen 10,000 BTUs as the minimum amount for a safe and effective dump zone.

If a cast iron radiator has 3 or 4 gallons of cold basement temperature water in it, that alone may quite likely satisfy to quench a dumping stove when it returns to the hot boiler.
Josh I'm mainly doing it for my high limit and a little bit of heat in the garage. I'm running antifreeze in it cuz garage ain't insulated. Plus where coming into the house is a little shallow. It's going right into the utility room on a heat exchanger. I have three zones inside the house.
I went and got my new valves and bought a spud wrench. And actually spud wrench hook to a pipe wrench with a six foot pry bar. Came right out.
Thank God. Now I'm just waiting for the crew. To show up tomorrow Hopefully I'll be able to be burning coal.
