Wow, what an interesting phone call I had today. I'm glad to know that I still have a good chance of getting my hands on a WCB-24 before the snow flies. Now, what to do with the 6 tons of rice in my coal bin.
I'll bring over my trailer and leave it for a few days while you fill it up for me. :D

Hi there, I am interested in the WCB 24. Is there any chance of getting one anytime this year?

Without knowing where you live, I can't match you up with a dealer. Call efm at 610 965 9041 on Monday.

I took the unit out of operation in 1990 and installed an oil-fired boiler, because I was travelling 2 1/2 hours round-trip to work and could not keep the fire going. However, since I'm now retired and the price of oil has gone ballistic, I've reinstalled the WCB-24. I've hooked it in parallel with the oil-fired boiler and have it connected to 2 zones (Each with its own circulator). One zone will circulate water between the 2 boilers and 2nd zone is hooked up to a 36 Gallon Indirect fired water heater. I've used wood and coal with this unit. Coal, of course, allows you to go longer between fill-ups. I've had some problems with the grates warping (probably because I was over firing the unit). I have replacement grates and firebrick. I want to rebuild the unit. However, I'm having problems with getting instructions on installation of the firebrick. I've called EFM to get some support on these instructions, they take my phone number and never call back. Any suggestions??
Hi
I am a dealer for EFM and they have been extremely busy and we need to be patient.... They make an awesome product and it is a tried, tested and true design...

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EFM

The brochures are printed; the picture is a close representative of the new product. Since no units have yet been made, an actual picture wasn't available, and existing units are not easily found, nor in good condition.

The first production run was already sold out before the first unit was made. I'm guessing December for the second run.

Wayne, look on the fire door. Is the efm logo cast into the front of the door? Are they both efms?

From the brochure above I see that the unit will put out 100k BTU

The unit looks nice, but I need something in the 180k-200k BTU range.

Will you be producing any larger models? If so, please feel free to PM me.

Not in a hand-fired unit. The DF520 would fit your needs.
