The Sequoyah, Whispering Pine and Little Spruce models were marketed under the evergreen brand line that Rick built and sold.

Without pictures of inside grate setup we are pretty much "dead in the water" here.

From what I remember of the coal grates for the three evergreen models and the bossman models they were hinged with a common rail under them and they rocked forward and back using a shaker arm that was outside the firebox in the front and above the rectangular ash box that was the length of the firebox. The owner pulled the ash box out with the handle welded on the end of the ash box to empty it.

If you look at the natures comfort(groan!!!!!!) outdoor coal boilers you will see how the evergreen boiler and boss man boilers shaker grates were set up as it is identical. The water jacket steel is too thin.

They don't insulate the bloody back door!!!; or offer insulation to plug the opposing entrance hole if you using one circulator apparently. At least rick totally insulated the rear access panels on all his boilers.
