I think I've decided to get a Manometer so I can actually see what my draft is. Is there anything specific I should look for? How are they generally connected to the stove pipe?

Does something like this look reasonable?
Manometer

Yes, that is the gem. There are also the Magnehelic gauges. I got one last year, I like it. Found it on eBay second hand under $20. I use a section of metal brake line to insert into the pipe. A rubber hose slips over the brake line and runs to the gauge.

I used to have a Dwyer, now I have a magnehelic gauge. They are hooked up the same way.
The low side should be hooked into the flue and the high side should be left open to the atmosphere. Hooking it up this way will register your draft on the positive side of the gauge making it easier to read.
I drilled a hole in my flue and put a compression fitting in it from the outside. I put a short piece of copper tube on the inside just long enough to reach the center gases of the flue. The inner compression cap holds the fitting tight onto the flue. I then ran about a one foot piece of copper tube out of my flue. I attached a fitting with a nipple for the rubber hose. I then ran the rubber hose into my gauge. Having the length of copper before the rubber hose keeps the hose far enough away to prevent it from melting. The fitting should be hooked into the flue between the stove and mpd. Rolled copper and fittings are 1/4”.
I hope it makes sense!!

Purchase the standard MARK II rather than the incline as it is easier to use.
Check Dwyers direct to you price before you buy a manometer as you also need a manometer probe and they are not that expensive from Dwyer.
