Hello to all,
I'm looking for manuals / installation instructions for a chappee c28 .

Its a multi-fuel unit but,I will be removing the oil gun and blocking off the back with a steel plate.
Previously it has only been used as an oil burner.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't remember if I had anything info wise but if I did it's on another ancient computer that may or may not even fire up. I bought a Chappee when I first decided coal was gonna be my heat source. Spent hours cleaning it of creosote then turned around and gave it to my father in law. He loved it when he used it but moved so it sits in the old basement doing nothing. Could get great burn times out of it as well.

Yours seems to be missing the calorstat that regulates the front damper.

Awesome, you should be all set to go with it. I'd probably use something at least 3/8" to block off the oil hole.

Father in law used Chestnut in it and loved it.

Chappee Hand Fired Boiler Here is another link for that boiler...kind of.

The gent I buy coal from at C&T Coal in Baldwinville MA has a Chappee Boiler and raves about it! There are several others he delivers to that have them. I was casually discussing boilers, what he has seen and recommends and he mentioned the Chappee as being an excellent unit. Good Luck with yours!

I don't see any previous posts from you? Many of us are not professional, though many are. Generally speaking we all try to help each other out. I am taking oil burner classes and just got certified to run inspections for my Fire Dept and at some point plan on going to PA and learning how to service different makes of coal fired units. At any rate we do try to help, many times comments are made in jest.Sometimes you may catch a member on an off day. So try to lighten up and enjoy this forum.
